What is the Economically Weaker Section or EWS?

Eligibility Conditions

The citizens under EWS satisfy the ensuing eligibility conditions:

  • Category: The applicant must belong to the General Category.   • The citizen should be an Indian by nationality.
  • The applicant belongs to the Unreserved or General or UR Category only.

  • The applicant should not posses any residential property more than 100 sq ft.
  • In case the applicant owns agricultural land, the plot should not be more than 5 Acres.

Documents Needed for Application for EWS Certificate

The candidates need to not only be eligible at the time of application but also be able to furnish the relevant documents so as to prove that.
