IIT JEE Advanced 2024 Overview
The IIT Madras is going to release the online application forms for IIT JEE Advanced 2024 today on the official website. The last date to apply for the JEE advanced is 7th May 2024. Candidates are advised to fill the form on time and don’t leave it to fill on the last date. Candidates should read the notification PDF thoroughly before applying. The JEE Advanced examination will be conducted in two shifts; first-9 AM to 12 PM and second -2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The exam will be conducted on 26th May and results will be published on 9th June 2024. The detailed overview is given in this table below.

The candidates can check their eligibility for appearing in JEE Advanced 2024 below.
There are 5 criteria:
1. JEE Main 2024 scores: Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2024. This year, as many as 250284 candidates have passed JEE Mains to appear for JEE Advanced. Check the table below:

2. Age limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1999. SC, ST, and PwD candidates receive an age relaxation of five years, meaning they should be born on or after October 1, 1994.
3. Number of attempts: Candidates can attempt JEE (Advanced) up to two times within two consecutive years. Those attempting JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time can also sit for JEE Advanced 2025.
4. Class XII exam appearance: Candidates who completed Class 12 in 2023 or 2024 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2024. Those who first took the Class XII (or equivalent) exam in 2022 or earlier are NOT eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2024, regardless of the subjects they took.
5. Prior admission to IITs: Candidates must not have been previously admitted to an IIT, whether or not they remained in the program or accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” or at a “reporting centre” in the past.
